Refunds & Cancellation Policy
Policy version 2026-08-21 · Effective 21 August 2026
This policy applies consistently to parking reservations made through StayNPark. Amounts are in Australian dollars (AUD). The booked price is charged when the booking is confirmed. An approved refund is sent to the original payment method, and your bank controls how quickly it is shown in your account.
If the Parker cancels
- More than one hour before the start: a full refund of the booked price.
- One hour or less before the start: 50% of the booked stay is retained and the other 50% is refunded. The Host receives 82.5% and StayNPark retains 17.5% of the payable cancellation amount.
- At or after the start, including a no-show: the booking can no longer be cancelled and the booked price remains payable because the Host reserved the space. There is no extra no-show penalty.
If the Host cancels or the space cannot be used
If the Host cancels, or the booked space is materially inaccessible or unavailable when the Parker arrives, the Parker can report the issue in the booking. After verification, the booked amount is refunded in full and the Host receives no payout for that stay.
StayNPark may help the Parker identify another available listing, but an alternative space or live response is not guaranteed. Reasonable, documented direct rebooking costs caused by Host fault may be assessed only after the Host receives notice and an opportunity to respond. Repeated Host cancellations or unavailable-space reports may result in listing or account controls.
If the listing is materially inaccurate
Report a wrong size, missing promised access or another material mismatch during the booking window where practicable. Include photos and a short explanation. We review the evidence and may provide a full or partial refund appropriate to the service affected. An allegation is not an automatic finding against either party.
Extensions, overtime and incident charges
A confirmed extension is charged when purchased and is refundable under the same one-hour rule until its extended time begins. Once that time begins, it can no longer be cancelled and is generally payable. The 15-minute grace period, overtime rate, A$150 automated overtime cap and one-time A$15 incident-administration fee are explained in the Fees & Protections schedule. We may correct or waive an overtime or administration charge where records show it was applied incorrectly or circumstances were outside the Parker's reasonable control.
Damage, cleaning and removal costs
Variable claims are not charged merely because one party makes an allegation. They require timely evidence, notice, an opportunity to respond and review under the Terms of Service. Only approved, reasonable actual costs are payable. Any lawfully arranged third-party towing or storage cost is passed through at the provider's actual invoiced amount, without StayNPark markup.
How to raise a refund or charge query
Open the booking and choose Report an issue, or email support@staynpark.app with the booking reference, the amount questioned and any useful photos or messages. We prioritise active-booking and safety reports, but response times vary. We will provide an outcome and a dispute route.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a service does not meet a consumer guarantee, the remedy required by law applies regardless of the administrative windows above.
